Tuesday’s rains came and passed, leaving a path of destruction in most districts of Accra.
The University of Ghana was no exception, with the Mensah Sarbah Hall reportedly flooding.
The flood was caused by the gutters overflowing as a result of the night’s heavy rains.
According to residents, the rooms were not impacted, but only the Porter’s Lodge, the car park, and the hall’s entrance were inundated.
The Central Cafeteria grounds beside the hall are also said to have been inundated.
Residents of the Sarbah hall, on the other hand, were unsurprised because this is not uncommon following heavy rains. Water has subsequently been regulated and no incidents have been reported.
