Job Title: Head Of Business Development
Location: Head Office, Accra
Job Purpose
The ideal candidate would be responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s Business Development/ Sales & Marketing strategies/ plans and provide leadership achieving the overall corporate Sales/ Marketing objectives. The ideal candidate would direct/ coordinate daily business Sales/ Marketing operations of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of Marketing & Business Development strategies/ business plans for the Company and implementing them to achieve set target.
- Develop and lead the Sales/ Marketing & Business Development Team to implement new business initiatives in line with the Company’s overall business strategy.
- Leading the Team for prospecting new businesses, expand market opportunities and increase market share by generating premium income
- Lead and identify new marketing opportunities for the Company products and services ensuring that resources are focused on the best opportunities. •
Build a professional image and ensure that synergies and teamwork take place in order to optimize sales delivery of the Company products to prospective clients.
- Supervise the preparation of the annual budget for the Business Development Unit and implement same.
- Conduct weekly marketing meetings with all marketing teams to review weekly activities and performance.
- Maintain regular contacts with the Company’s customers to ensure their satisfaction and business growth.
- Prepare and submit responsive periodic reports to Management.
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with excellent understanding of the Insurance Industry/ Insurance operations and must:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field with a minimum of eight (8) years’ work experience; three (3) years in management level.
- A member of a recognized professional body
- Be proficient in the use of insurance software and tools.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suits
