Job Position: Manager – Commercial Bid
Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
In charge of overseeing the several components that go into submitting and answering big RFPs or RFQs for clients, both internal and external. Compiling responses from sales, product, commercial, solution design, and support departments like finance, legal, and technology is required for this.
In order to provide a framework and a foundation for the standardization of solution offerings, he or she will also be accountable for helping to build and implement a central repository and center of excellence.
Thus, this means managing the official RFP/RFQ and/or RFI procedure for the procurement of price books from internal opcos and external third-party providers.
Additionally, in order to optimize revenue from the group’s fixed network capacity and connectivity as well as other assets like satellite, the role will develop and define initiatives to help with the strategic positioning of connectivity services.
It will also support bid management for all proposals that are submitted to customers.

The Manager: Bid Management position will be responsible for completing the following tasks.
- Create the operational model and strategy to facilitate the coordination of inputs from various business units so that bid requirements may be fulfilled quickly and effectively.
- Organize the contributions of pertinent internal and external stakeholders, such as contract management, legal, finance, systems engineering, networks, IT, and product groups, about the substance of bids.
- Before responding to customers, oversee the final submissions from a quality and completeness standpoint and lead the formation of a swift task team to vet or qualify incoming bids and guarantee complete compliance with the terms of customer RFP / RFI.
- To manage bids, create solution designs, and prepare bid documents while coordinating inputs from the account teams, systems engineers, and commercial, legal, and finance teams, establish and utilize standard templates.
- In order to guarantee the effective conversion of customer-specific bids into standardized offerings and a quicker call to cash, manage and maintain a common repository.
- After winning bids, make sure there is clear communication and integration between the various business units, leading to post-sales teams like SLA and technical planning teams, as well as postmortem and investigations into losing bids to identify important lessons and areas for improvement.
- Complete incorporation of quality control procedures into the Systems Engineering department and their efficient daily use.
- Deliver consistent reports and oversee dashboards that display bid performance through statistical analysis, providing sales and supporting teams with valuable data and knowledge.
- Encourage internal and external stakeholders to collaborate across functional boundaries and make sure that all agreements are implemented and followed.
- In an effort to more carefully and effectively distinguish, differentiate, and position solutions based on pricing, value, network availability, and performance, evaluate the competitor and operator landscape to gain an understanding of the offerings available in the market.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
Education:
- A minimum of four years of college (in business science, engineering, or commerce)
- MBA or master’s degree after graduation (in commerce, engineering, or science) Arabic, French, and English are preferred (as advantage)
Competencies
- Capable of collaborating with various stakeholders in a multicultural setting with strong analytical abilities to accurately predict demand and offer suggestions for decision-making.
- A practical understanding of company procedures.
- Familiarity with business development and risk management.
- The capacity to see important issues in a scenario and to use strategic and creative thinking to overcome obstacles both internal and external.
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Salesforce.
- Recognizing the wholesale connectivity infrastructure sector with an emphasis on developing nations.
