Forget GIS: This is the most expensive school in Ghana where kindergarten costs GHc176K a year

When it comes to obtaining the greatest education for your children, Ghana boasts a plethora of foreign schools.

Ghana International School, Al-Rayan International School, Lincoln Community School, and Soul Clinic are just a few of the many outstanding schools in the country. When it comes to the most costly school in Ghana, however, Lincoln Community School (LCS) stands out with its one-of-a-kind package.

“In 1968, six American families joined together to create Lincoln Community School. Some 50 years later, Lincoln Community School is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programs through the lens of U.S. curricular standards and is recognized as a leading international school in Africa.

“In keeping with our ethos as an American-style international school, LCS offers a rich extracurricular program that embraces appreciation for and participation in the arts, personal fitness and a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle. Based on the recommendation years of the students, the school places students in grades ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The registration and fee schedule for students is shown below;

A non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee is charged to new students. Enrolment in Pre-Kindergarten costs USD 1,500 (GHC 11,925), whereas enrollment in Kindergarten through Grade 12 costs USD 6,500. (GHc 51,675).

Every year, a maintenance fee of USD 2000 (GHc 15,900) is levied on all students, in addition to a reservation fee of USD 500 (GHc 3,975 for returning students), both of which are applied to tuition costs.
