Julius Naanio, the goalie for Berekum Arsenal, scored an incredible own goal against Bolga All Stars.
The Ghana Division One League matchup between the two teams was taking place. A teammate sent the ball back to Naanio, who miraculously put it in his own goal.
On Sunday, Ghanaian goalie Julius Naanio may have scored one of the worst own goals in history, giving him a bad day. The Ghana Division One League match between Bolga All-Stars and Naamio’s squad, Berekum Arsenal, concluded 2-2.
After a catastrophe from goalkeeper Naanio, the All-Stars received a tremendous helping hand with the home team leading 2-1 in the second half.
A pressured Arsenal defender threw a basic backpass to his keeper from just beyond his own penalty area, but the goalkeeper messed up as soon as he touched the ball.
Naanio saw his buddy and attempted to pass to him, but regrettably put the ball in his own net.
The shocked goalkeeper instantly lowered his hands to his knees and bowed his head.
